You can easily add emojis on a Chromebook in a few different ways:
Using the Built-in Emoji Picker: The most common and convenient way is to use the built-in emoji picker.
Accessing it: Press the <kbd>Search</kbd> + <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>Space</kbd> keys simultaneously. This will bring up a small window containing emojis, GIFs, and symbols. (The "Search" key is often where the Caps Lock key is on other keyboards.)
Selecting Emojis: Simply click on the emoji you want to insert it into the text field you're currently working in. You can also use the search bar within the emoji picker to find specific emojis by keyword.
Using the Right-Click Menu: In many apps and text fields, you can right-click and select "Emoji" or "Insert Emoji" from the context menu. This will also open the emoji picker.
Using On-Screen Keyboard: If you're using your Chromebook in tablet mode, you can often access emojis via the on-screen keyboard. Look for an emoji icon (usually a smiley face) on the keyboard.
Copying and Pasting: You can copy emojis from websites like Emojipedia and paste them directly into your documents, messages, or social media posts. Not all sites support emojis, however, so test.
Keyboard Shortcuts (Limited): There aren't universal keyboard shortcuts for specific emojis on Chromebooks. The primary method is the emoji picker.
